Neil is the World pioneer of jet-boat safaris with his original 1988 operation being the Dart River Jet boat Safari, near Queenstown. Waiatoto River Safari is now a family business, owned and operated by Neil and Robyn, Daughter Catherine and her husband Garry.

Neil's passion is jet boating, be it back country exploring or developing a new race boat. He has won Four New Zealand titles, one FX Class World title, and one overall World Championship title.
